Membership to the UPIA is currently closed.
Does the U.P.I.A only cover south western Pa? No, We are
open to all areas. We are based in the south western PA region.
Can the U.P.I.A do an investigation of my home? That
all depends on where you live. If the U.P.I.A Investigation team is within a reasonable distance to you then we
will be more then glad to investigate your home. If we cannot we will be more then glad to assist you in finding someone
in your area.
What do the Officers do? The Officers duties are to keep the group running in
a manner that is in the best interest of all people involved with the U.P.I.A.
Can I become an Officer? The term of each Officer is unlimited. It takes a majority
vote of the fellow officers to remove another Officer if they are found unsuitable to continue their job. A Officer can
of course at anytime remove themselves for what ever personal reasons. No matter how it comes to be, if there is an open Officer
seat anyone over 18 years of age, and is a current team member has the ability to apply for the position.

What is a Ghost? We believe that a ghost is a spirit of
a once living person that for one reason or another has stayed around.
Do animals come back as ghosts? Yes, There are many cases
of people continuing to see and hear their pets long after the pet has died.
What makes a spirit stay around? There is no one answer.
But here is a short list of possible reasons: 1) They do not realize they have died . This normally happens with sudden deaths
where the victim did not have time to accept death.
2) They were not willing to move on do to fear of what they did not
understand.
3) The spirit wishes to watch over loved ones or possessions.
4) A spirit can be held from moving on when
family is not willing to let go of their recently loved one and forces them to stick around.
Why do ghosts show up as orbs? Not all spirits show up
as orbs. There are many ideas on what spirit orbs are. Some believe them to be the spirits themselves others believe them
to be the energy that is increased while a spirit is around. We have seen orbs act with intelligence interacting with the
surroundings. The official stance that the U.P.I.A takes on orbs is that they are the spirits themselves. This is only a theory
on what an orb is and as with any theory is a work in progress.
Can a ghost hurt me? Cases of a spiritual being hurting
people are rare and do not happen that often but it can and does happen. You should always treat a spirit the same way you
would treat a living person you do not know. Use caution.
Why would a place where no one died be haunted? Some spirits
continue to live out their lives after death. This means they will go and do what they normally did such as go to work or
school.
Is bigfoot real? Until the day that someone captures one or brings one in dead we
can only assume that it exist. In todays world it is easy to believe that there couldn't be any creatures that we haven't
found yet. The truth is that every year we are finding dozens of new species. If a creature of low intelligence can stay hidden
from us why is it so hard to believe an obviously intelligent apelike creature could do the same?
Are there really ufo's? It is a fact that there are unidentified flying objects
or ufo's, the question that is up for debate is what they are. Most of the sightings are known objects that you may just not
recognize. Others may be secret government projects and the more amazing sightings may be that of aliens visiting earth.
